During his time as a professor at the Budapest College of Applied Arts, Rubik invented the cube in an attempt to present his students with a model of three-dimensional motion. In fact, Rubik&#8217;s prototype did not include colours. He added these later in order to differentiate the pieces of the cube from one another, giving the cube its final form, as we know it today.<\/p><p>Over the years, the Cube would expand from its original 3&#215;3 dimension that remains theu00a0 most popular to this day.
